amelia rowe
Amelia Rowe is a Glasgow based artist and workshop facilitator. She studied Modelmaking & 3D Design and brings to her work a wealth of technical, environmental and creative knowledge and inspiration.
For Amelia, Bowling Harbour is a place of childhood play and memories; she used to visit the location regularly as a child and thus the area is for her a strong symbol of her creative beginnings.
She plans to use the residency as a base to produce 3D artworks using objects (especially man-made waste) washed up on the shore.
Making art from discarded materials is a large part of her process and she is intrigued to see what the December tides may wash up on the river shore. She writes;
"The thought of being able to produce site-specific work in a small area with such potential and importance to me is exciting".
Amelia is working in the space 10-16th December
