Our Arch 9 Artist-in-Residence for November 12-16th is Emilie-Christine P.Newman.
Émilie-Christine P. Newman is a Canadian artist living and working in London. She completed her MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2016 and has exhibited works across Europe and North America.
Her practice is multi-disciplinary and covers a wide range of topics and approaches. As a child, she used to do a lot of work with pastels and, during this residency, she plans to revisit this medium in a place that is not tied to her current ongoing bodies of work. She is using the tranquility of the space as an opportunity to clear her head and reconnect with the heart of her practice in a setting that is so different from her everyday life in a busy city.
